Cancellation Policy

New Zealand Retreat 2027

This policy is designed to be fair while protecting the commitments made to suppliers, teachers, and the overall retreat experience.

Please read it carefully before booking.

Deposit

$1,500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.

This deposit is due immediately upon booking and confirms your commitment to the retreat.

Final Payment

Final payment is due 60 days prior to the retreat (February 10, 2027).

Payment plans are available — you can choose weekly, fortnightly, or 4 scheduled payments.

If You Need to Cancel

More than 6 months before the retreat (before October 2026):

  • Your deposit is forfeited

  • The remaining balance is refunded in full

Between 3–6 months before the retreat (October 2026 – January 2027):

  • 50% of the total retreat cost is retained

  • OR you can transfer your spot to another guest (with approval)

  • The remaining 50% is refunded

Less than 60 days before the retreat (after February 10, 2027):

  • No refund is provided

  • You may transfer your spot to another guest with approval

  • This is because final payments to suppliers (accommodation, chef, transport, etc.) are committed at this point

Transferring Your Spot

You may transfer your spot to another person at any time, subject to approval.

The new guest must:

  • Meet the retreat requirements (e.g., dietary needs can be accommodated, logistics work)

  • Complete the booking process and agree to these terms

If the Retreat Is Cancelled by Meloo

If I need to cancel the retreat for any reason:

  • You will receive a full refund, OR

  • The option to transfer to a rescheduled date (if applicable)

Force Majeure (Unforeseeable Events)

In the event of circumstances beyond anyone's control — including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or significant travel disruptions — the following applies:

  • credit toward a future retreat will be offered

  • A full refund will not be automatically provided, as costs to suppliers may already be committed

This protects both you and the retreat from uncontrollable losses.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover:

  • Trip cancellation

  • Medical expenses

  • Travel disruptions

This policy does not replace the need for travel insurance.

Payment Plan Default

If you are on a payment plan and miss a scheduled payment:

  • You will be contacted to resolve the issue

  • If payment is not received within 7 days, your spot may be released and your deposit forfeited
